mEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Hi! My name is Jordanne Hamilton and I am a freelance photographer currently based out of Brooklyn, NY. I have always had a love for creating and storytelling whether that be through visual mediums like photography or other artistic outlets such as music.

I remember purchasing my first purple Kodak point and shoot camera in 2009 and running around my grandparent's’ backyard taking photos of whatever I could find. It wasn’t until I was in high school that after spending my summers serving as a leader at church camp that I truly fell in love with the art form of photography when I was borrowing my friend’s camera to document the services and activities. It was December 2015 when I purchased my first full-frame DSLR and Jordanne Hamilton Photographer began.

It was then that I dove head first shooting senior portraits only to go on that fall and begin work as an athletics and student photographer for my college for the next 4 years. I shot my first wedding in 2017 and soon after started fell in love with documenting the special moments in other people’s lives.

Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of shooting countless weddings, brands, portraits, and getting to explore my own creativity in order to convey others’ stories both artistically and truthfully. I’m so grateful that my job has provided me the opportunity to travel around the world but mostly, to continue to do the thing that started it all—serve others.
